Skrímsli í heimsókn! Stóra skrímslið, litla skrímslið og loðna skrímslið hittu norskar fjölskyldur um síðustu helgi þegar Adele Duus frumsýndi leikþáttinn „Monsterbesøk“ sem byggður er á samnefndri bók, eftir okkur þríeykið sem höfum í sameiningu samið bókaflokkinn um skrímslin svörtu. Leikritið var flutt utandyra og skrímslin stóðu sig með prýði, þrátt fyrir óveðrið sem gekk yfir þessa sömu helgi.
Lys levende Adele er einnar-konu leikhús Adele Lærum Duus sem hefur sérhæft sig í leikgerðum og miðlun barnabóka. Verkefnið Monsterbesøk vinnur hún í samvinnu við bókasöfn og menningarstofnanir í Hörðalandi, Sogn- og Fjarðafylki. Verkefnið miðar m.a. að því að tengja saman útivist og menningu og er leikritið flutt við útivistarskála sem eru í göngufæri fyrir fjölskyldur með börn. Sem dæmi má taka skálann Sjöbua i Bynga sem býður ekki bara upp á skjól til að snæða nesti heldur er þar líka lítið bókasafn – og þar má m.a. finna bækurnar um skrímslin. Vetrarveður hamla því ekki að norðmenn njóti útivistar í bland við bókmenntir. Til fyrirmyndar, sem sagt.

Monsters at play! Big Monster, Little Monster and Furry Monster met Norwegian families last weekend when Adele Duus premiered the play Monster Visit – Monsterbesøk in Norwegian, a play based on the book by same name, one of the creations by the author team Jónsdóttir, Güettler and Helmsdal. As an outdoor theater, performed in the midst of winter in Norway, one might say that the event involved some risks – but Adele and the monsters did great, despite heavy skies threatening with storm and hail.
Lys Levende Adele is a one-woman-theater run by Adele Duus, who has specialized in storytelling and adapting children’s books to theater. The project Monsterbesøk is made in collaboration with libraries and cultural institutions in Hordaland, Sogn- and Fjordane in west-Norway. The project aims to connect outdoor activities and culture, and the play is staged at public cabins that are within a walking distance for families with children. For example, by the cabin Sjöbua i Byngja, which does not merely offer a shelter to enjoy your packed meal but also has a small library, a small selection of books – among them books from the Monster series. Harsh winter weather does not hinder Norwegians from enjoying outdoors recreation and literature! An exemplary idea!
